Essner produces precision sheet metal fabrications and machined parts for a wide variety of customers and industries. Essner provides its customers with a wide range of services, ranging from individual detail parts to turnkey assemblies, all manufactured to customers’ specifications. Brackets, panels, electrical chassis, and electronic containment boxes made by Essner have been used in everything from oil field service to the newest fighter aircraft.

Essner's machine shop is a modern CNC shop with skilled machinists and modern CNC equipment, including expertise in 5 axis machining.  Machinery includes a 100” x 30” HAAS VMC, an 80" x 30" Fadal VMC, two 50" x 25" (50 taper) HAAS VMCs with 5th axis capability, and other smaller machining centers.  Machined parts range from minor clean-up work on castings and forgings to major multiple-step machining operations using materials such as Aluminum <> Steel <> Stainless Steel <> Titanium <> Composites.

Fabricated sheet metal parts have long been Essner's expertise. We have complete sheet metal capabilities on steel up to 3/16 inch and aluminum up to ¼ inch. Standard precision sheet metal is fabricated using an Amada turret punch press, Strippit fabricator, three press brakes, and other equipment.  For contoured aerospace parts, an OMAX 55100 Waterjet with a 4’ X 8’ bed is capable of holding a tolerance of .003”; and Essner uses a 500-ton pad press for contour parts up to 40” X 52”.

Essner’s special processes provide virtually “one-stop shopping” for most standard aerospace parts.  Solution Heat Treat and aging of aluminum provides controlled in-house processing, certified to Government and customer specifications.  Finishing operations include Chem film, prime, and paint.  The combination of these certified in-house processes along with our expertise in sheet metal, machining, and assembly facilitates timely delivery of parts and assemblies to our customers..
